Jim Breuer Perfectly Sums Up Rock Fans' Frustration With Grammy's Treatment of Metallica

Comedian and heavy metal fanatic Jim Breuer perfectly summed up the rock communities' anger over the disgraceful treatment the Grammys gave Metallica during their duet with Lady Gagaa performance that was hard undoubtedly hard to watch for fans. "For a program that's celebrating artists, what a disgraceful event," Breuer said in a video posted to his Facebook page

Plagued with technical difficulties, Metallica was not even mentioned by introducer Laverne Cox as they began to perform "Moth Into Flame" from the band's latest album Hardwired...to Self Destruct. James Hetfield's mic wasn't working throughout the performance, and the frontman eventually kicked it over out of frustration and used Gaga's microphone simultaneously with her.

"The Grammys, where we celebrate artists - unless you're Metallica, then we're going to screw up your intro, not even introduce you as your own song, then turn your mic off," the comedian said. For those who had to sit through hours of a broadcast celebrating artists they didn't care about, Breuer said, "they should pay all Metallica's fans their tickets because you made everyone watch for over an hour just to wait for that nonsense."

He also mentions in the clip that Metallica should have won the Best Rock Song Grammy for "Hardwired", who were beat out by David Bowie's "Blackstar".

He ended the frustrated clip, giving credit to Gaga for giving it her all during the performance. "Thank you, Lady Gaga," he said. "You held it very well."
