Blink-182 are playing a benefit show next month to help Los Angeles wildfire relief efforts, and a familiar face will be joining them. On Monday (January 27), the band announced the special one-off performance and revealed Alkaline Trio would be playing support. As fans know, Alkaline Trio frontman Matt Skiba replaced Tom DeLonge in blink's lineup for seven years. This will be the first time Skiba's shared a bill with his former band since parting ways to make room for a reunion with DeLonge in 2022.
The show is set to take place February 13 at Los Angeles' Hollywood Palladium. The intimate venue holds 4,000 people. Tickets go on sale today at 3pm PT via Ticketmaster. All proceeds from the concert will benefit the Pasadena Humane Society, California Fire Department, LAFD Foundation, and ARC Firefighter Fund.
The fires have devastated the Los Angeles area — more than 200,000 people have evacuated their homes and over 12,000 structures have been damaged or destroyed. At least 27 people have died since the first fire was reported on January 7. Many musicians have donated to the relief efforts, with Metallica's All Within My Hands foundation pledging $500,000 to the cause.
