With the holidays now around the corner I decided to lighten things up a little bit to get everyone in the spirit of the season. The month of October is always filled with darkness and scary fun. But it's time for November music damnit! Which means it's time to bring you the soothing sounds of Carrion Curse.
From their Facebook Bio:
Carrion Curse was formed in 2014 by Brian Williams, Freddy Cash, and John Hogenson, Brian Kirby, Dan Straka. In December of 2015, Carrion Curse released their debut album, "Feast Of The Maggots" on their own, and began playing shows across Florida. From the bowels of Tallahassee comes the band Carrion Curse to infect, infest, and destroy. Carrion Curse is comprised with vocalist Brian Williams (ex-Methodical Mayhem, ex-Brigand, ex-Syxth), guitarist Freddy Cash (Driven), guitarist Dale Dollar (Intergalactic Noggin Slammer, Shapeshifter Project ), bassist Steven Larsh and the hard hitting drummer John Hogenson, (Methodical Mayhem, ex- Syxth, Breaking The Machine). Carrion Curse has a rich blend of old school death metal, with subtle hits of thrash, black metal, and thrash sound.
Now see doesn't that sound nice? I mean "Feast of the Maggots" goes so gosh darn well with Thanksgiving and eating. Seriously though these guys are as hardcore as they come. Honestly I don't even know if they sent me a radio friendly song because I can barely make out the words, it's amazing. I'd be willing to bet Saturday night is a great time to see them perform because you'll be ready to go to church the next day.
