Ian Expected to Become a Hurricane This Morning

Tropical Storm Ian is expected to rapidly strengthen today and become a hurricane. It's expected to produce significant wind and storm surge in Western Cuba.

Ian is currently about 90 miles SW of Grand Cayman with maximum sustained winds of 75 mph.

With all of Florida under a state of emergency, Governor Ron DeSantis urged residents to prepare for power outages, fuel disruptions and evacuations. Florida has activated more than two-thousand National Guard members as the storm intensifies and nears the state's coast.
