Hand Sanitizer Recalled In Michigan After Bogus Label

A hand sanitizer available in Michigan has been recalled because it was incorrectly labeled "edible alcohol." Officials would like to be 100 percent clear that there is no such thing.

CorgioMed, LLC is voluntarily recalling all lots of Leafree Instant Hand Sanitizer-Aloe Vera, an alcohol-based hand rub that can be applied externally to reduce bacteria on the skin when soap and water are not available. The hand sanitizer should not be consumed in any situation whatsoever.

The company noted that the labeling of the product as "edible alcohol" may promote the behavior of ingesting it, which is not recommended in any situation.

I just figured after this whole pandemic was over, we could make some drinks out of this stuff. It would seem not 🤣
